The illustrator: Ery started drawing at the age of 5 when she discovered bath crayons and magic pens. Her work was shaped by all the things she loved growing up in the 1980's, a decade of Aztec print bermuda shorts, geometric shapes, and big hair. She is particularly influenced by Mexican folk Art and Monty Pythonesque humour which inspire her to create colourfully muted montages of nature and people. Her popular style also lends itself well to marketing material, editorial, and surface pattern. In her spare time Ery likes to doodle, gossip, go to the gym, and watch bad Australian soaps.
